Welcome to 5 Senses School, a unique preschool program

5 Senses School is a play-based program where educators set up the environment and interact with children at their level throughout the day, taking inspiration from the Reggio Emilia approach to children and teaching.

The school is housed in a residential home in Reading, Massachusetts, offering four classrooms with small ratios and a large backyard where children can explore nature and play.

Flexible Schedules

Flexible Schedules

5 Senses School encourages their families to choose the schedule that works for them. Our minimum requirement is two days a week for four hours, and we can accommodate up to five days a week for 10 hours.

Our Curriculum

Our educators independently design their own curriculum, with the help of the children in their classroom, their interests, all while staying within the standards set up by the state of Massachusetts’ educational guidelines. Our curriculum is strongly influenced by the Reggio Emilia approach to learning. While listening and taking children’s cues, we are able to plan a curriculum rich in language, math, the arts, STEM, and the world around us.
